Bliss is all about an extreme state of happiness, and the restaurant thus named pays fine tribute to the healthy life style and youth.
Open every day of the year, Bliss is a coffee and tea house by morning and afternoon and a restaurant by mid-day and night.
It’s a calm place with an unorthodox decoration where you can hear good music of various styles and predominantly frequented by locals and young people. Each month they hold exhibitions featuring a painter or photographer.
The dining room is modern in its décor, whereas the hall on the side is more classical and intimate, where you can have a coffee or tea on one of their armchairs or sofas. The terrace has views of the Sant Just Church, a clear summer choice to enjoy the shade in the Gothic Quarter.
Bliss’ list of teas is also worth mentioning. If you’re a lover of exotic infusions you won’t be disappointed by their variety.
In the mornings they have sandwiches and pastries to accompany your coffee or tea, while the kitchen prepares healthy Mediterranean cuisine, the result being simple and economic, especially when you consider the quality: large salads (with taste!), cold and warm starters, pastas, dishes that are carefully prepared and presented, natural juices and a tempting list of desserts.
After dining, Barceloca readers can take advantage and choose a shot to help it all down; it’ll be on the house.
