On the 21st March 2002, the mayor of Barcelona, Joan Clos, presented the mascot of the 10th World Swimming Championships, which will take place in Barcelona in July 2003. The mascot, called I-plash, has been designed by Nacho Lavernia and Ignasi Rodríguez Torné. It will be the friendly image of the Championship, symbolising the coolness and mobility of a drop of water.
