Organised by Advanced Music, Sónar Festival, is the International Festival of Advanced Music and Multimedia Art of Barcelona commonly known as
Sónar, has been celebrated annually in mid June for three days since 1993.
It is considered one of the most prestigious events in its genre, and the most prestigious electronic DJ´s and artists of the world perform during those days.
The activities are developed in different stages of the city:
CCCB,
MACBA, and also more recently in Montjuïc. The first editions took place in the Marbella Pavilion.
Sónar not only offers music, but also conferences and expositions from leading professionals with the latest trends of art and electronic music, multimedia, video and cinema.
The Feria Tecnológica (Technological Fair), the Sonarcinema, or the Sonarmática are some of the activities developed in the mark of the festival.
